View Full Version : Need advice on an anti-Bush sign...

Okay, there's this gaudy pro-Bush sign that has recently been constructed at the entrance to this little town. Its message immediately disgusted me, and I feel like it needs some competition. Basically, the sign is a rectangle that is red at the top, white in the middle, and blue at the bottom, as in Red, White and Blue. The message says this...

On the red section at the top, it states: "Support your Government. Support your Country. Support your troops."

On the white section at the middle, it states: "Remember the Pentagon! Remember the Twin Towers!"

On the blue section at the bottom, it states: "Remember, we were attacked first!"

So, I have to refute this message some how. I considered throwing paint all over it, but thought if I got caught that would be obvious vandalism and it wouldn't even send a message out anyways. Now I'm considering taking a poster board and writing some radical statements on it to piss off all the little reactionaries in that town. Here's what I had in mind...

"Remember, Iraq did NOT attack us"
"Remember, Osama was trained by the CIA"
"Remember, Bush stole the election"

The last statement I'm not sure about. Anybody got any better suggestions? Just think of something that would freak out a reactionary redneck. Also, I'm not sure how I'll set the board up. I was considering putting it over the sign somehow, or putting on top of the sign somehow. But, any advice, such as potential statements to write or suggestions on setting the sign up, I'd appreciate anything.

Remember, the death toll is higher now that Sadaam Hussein has gone and we call the shots.

I always find that frightening... We've managed to fuck up a county more than an insane dictator.

On the red section at the top, it states: "Support your Government. Support your Country. Support your troops.

Hitler said the same thing
Always question your government

On the white section at the middle, it states: "Remember the Pentagon! Remember the Twin Towers!"

Oppressing innocent Iraqi's won't bring the ppl who perished back

On the blue section at the bottom, it states: "Remember, we were attacked first!"

The CIA created the organization now known as Al Qaeda during the Soviet-Afghan War

I wouldn't include the whole "Bush stole the election..blahblah" just because if Kerry or Gore had "won" the election, few if anything would be different

Comrade, there is only one reply you can make to such a outrageous form of propaganda statement such as the afore mentioned one.

America went to war with AFGANISTAN not Iraq to avenge the deaths of those who lost their lives on September 9th 2001.

They have ILEGALLY invaded Iraq, with help from Britain, due to the beliefs that Iraq had WMD's (Weapons of Mass Destruction). Yes, before many of us attack this idea, Iraq did have WMD's as Britian and the USA both helped Saddam gain them.

Remember, the death toll is higher now that Sadaam Hussein has gone and we call the shots.

My dear comrade, the statistics show that Britain and America forces may be causing more death than the Hussein rule. But I'm sure you know as well as I do how easy stats are to manipulate.

But what is more frightening is not that Britain and America have, as you so nicely put it
fuck up a country, but the people that are fighting against the Forces in Iraq are supporters of Saddam, even after the chaos and tragedy that he caused.

It scared me when I heard about the Jews who believed and followed Hitler during the Holocaust, many of them believed that dear old Adolf was doing the work of God.

But the fact that people that have suffered at the hands of this tyrant are now fighting for his return, and that the only thing stopping tyranny returning to Iraq (at least in that form) is George W. Bush and that is one of the very few things that strikes fear into the very center of my heart.
