I have no money left. I think I have about 60 cents. That's it.
So today I couldn't afford the bus to school. So now I am stuck at home. So for each hour I am home, I start losing my scholarship.
If I do lose my scholarship, I will have to start working, and that means I will have to quit school. Quitting school means no education, and no education means I will be stuck with a low wage for the rest of my life. Nice, eh?
Thanks a lot, bureaucrats! Thanks a lot, capitalism! Thanks a lot "oh we don't need silly free public transportation because we are the richest nation on earth"!

I lost my scholarship at a catholic school because the new principle said if I wasn't catholic I'de have to pay for myself.
edit: I went to the catholic school because my friends went there, the other public schools were full of large gangs that hated me and I'de be given hell throughout each day.

You've got legs haven't you ? Walk to bloody school, kids in Africa have to, they walk miles, and they don't have computers to sit at and moan about it.
Plus, I'm sure even the evil nasty government didn't make you waste your bus fare on whatever you wasted it on.

Walk to bloody school
It's far away and I just had a surgery
I am also having a cold and in one of the coldest nation on earth, walking for hours in weather like this is not what one would suggest.
Ever thought about selling your computer?
No. In addition, what would be the point? School use lots of internet.
I could sell my cock. Or better yet, my kidney! How does that sound?
Why should those who have less money be punished education-wise?

If kids drive to school....carpool I guess...if you can't walk yourself (due to weather or surgery) Other than that....well where i live there is a program where people voulenteer (sp?) to drive cancer patients to their appointments...I'm not sure how you would go about asking someone to just drive you back and forth from school, but I can't really think of any other way to get there.

What happened to rest of your money did you spend it on beer & smokes?
patton, what's up with the notion that everyone in economic hardship base their money on weed, smoke, beer or other liquid containing alcohol? That's bourgeois mentality: "If the poor fuckers only used their money on relevant stuff instead of partying there would be no poverty in this world. Why are they poor and hungry? Can't they just eat cake?"
It's bureaucracy.
Each year we have to apply for scholarship. So we will normally have no money income since July-August. Been living on about 140 dollars for about one and a half month. It takes time to the money gets here, because almost everyone applies.
There are many people who live on noodles and rice only every year as students, because they can barely survive. They become malnurished and sick a lot, probably because their immune system is breaking down. They get sick. That means they lose their scholarship and they lose their jobs.

I once had a serious Ramen habbit. It got the point I would just take out the packets of seasoning and do lines off a mirror.
Now I limit myself to the Creamy Chicken flavor only, no more than one a week. It's a treat now :D

I have no money left. I think I have about 60 cents. That's it.
You might have to actually get a part-time job while you're in school. That way, when you're all done with your studies for the week, you won't waste your spare time binge drinking alcohol with the dummies. You'll actually do something useful with your time and you'll be ahead of everybody else that chooses to waste their time on pointless shit like binge drinking.
So for each hour I am home, I start losing my scholarship.
You got a scholarship?
It seems like your a beneficiary of capitalism? So what's with the communism?
If I do lose my scholarship, I will have to start working,
Oh, the horrors!
You should be working anyway while your in school...millions of people do it.
What makes you so friggin special?
And I hate to break it to you, but you are going to have to actually WORK for a living when you're out of school.
no education means I will be stuck with a low wage for the rest of my life. Nice, eh?
Typical liberal/leftist myth: no college degree = Loserdom.
....there's boundless opportunities to make a good living without a stupid degree in whatever.
And why is that bad thing? Doesn't that mean you'll join your fellow comrades in the struggle against the capitalists?
Thanks a lot, bureaucrats! Thanks a lot, capitalism!
Many capitalist countries have public transportation; including ours.
Why should those who have less money be punished education-wise?
You have a SCHOLARSHIP! That you won't have to pay back. I wonder how much money was solely invested in you during your "career" as a student in order for you to get good grades and join extra-curricular activities so that you can obtain that wonderful privilege?
You're not being punished, you caught a lucky break.

We study in the weekends for the endless exams and tests. It takes up much of that time.

You can't dedicate 10-15 hours a fucking week to some job on campus or somewhere else? Try to find a job where you just sit there and you can actually study?
"Endless exams and tests" that you must dedicate 56 hours of your free time to?
*56 hours is the average time a student has in a week after subtracting hours spent in school, sleeping and eating.
Maybe you're not so smart after all?
Why do you suppose everyone consumes alcohol?
That's what students tend to do on weekends.

I can see where NWOG is coming from, i myself, no AP classes, no scholorship no nothing, had to quit working so i can attend school, for alot of people it's still possible to work and go to school, for others it's not. im in gifted-honors classes in my school and i get tons of homework and tests to the point where i can hardly enjoy my weekend without risking grades.
and no, capitalism isn't helping him, communism, schools would be free from the start
(and since NWOG is going for a scholarship, i assume he has PLENTY of work and studying to do to be able to maintain the grades he needs )

It's usually the frat boys and drunks that become your boss. I can confirm this from tales by family members that went to uni. Drunk partyers passed out on billiard tables don't have anything to worry about because they have a reason not to worry.

Well, first of all my name is Alex. And I admire the man, as there's a lot to admire about him.
I do not side with his elitism, but I don't judge him too harshly, as he was very progressive for his time.
Remember, to him Washington was a near god, and this created in him an obsession (partly due to his own inability to elevate himself fully in certain circles, due to dubious parentage and being born outside of the U.S.) to assist in the elevation of Washington.
I mainly admire his contribution to the Federalist Papers. His understanding of society runs circles around Karl and the Boys.
But those are some of my views on the guy.
Are you in Minn?

As usual, critics like you cheat by taking sentences out of context by lifting them out of the paragraph where they are trying to prove a point implied by the rest of the paragraph. You do that often don't you? Cheat I mean? What else do you cheat on? Taxes? Company book keeping?
Here's the first part: It's usually the frat boys and drunks that become your boss. I can confirm this from tales by family members that went to uni.
And now the next sentence: Drunk partyers passed out on billiard tables don't have anything to worry about because they have a reason not to worry.
...because they have a reason not to worry.
and the reason not to worry is implied by the first part of the paragraph.

What can I say? I'm a fun loving guy. And Capitalism is just no fun!
But, being that I'm also technical minded and believe that only material, real world solutions are possible for solving the problems that Capitalism has failed to solve. I only advocate a particular kind of Communism based on solving the problems of material poverty and misdistribution through scientific and technical know-how. Anything else is just whistling in the dark.

NWOG if i were you, i would get a job at a place that has a ton of employees, like a grocery store. They always have very flexible hours because of their large numbers of employees, so hopefully they would fit your schedule.
Where'd you get surgery, if it isn't personal that is? If it's in the shoulder of something you could maybe take a bike. Your best bet is what someone else said though, carpool.

It would take me 3 hours to walk to school, I've done it before and it wasn't something I wish to do on an everyday basis. The busdriver wouldn't let me one because My bus pass had a nick in it and I was waiting for a replacement.

red ream,
You took my comment about the absurd logic far too seriously. The irony is that when a cappie makes a similar mobius strip of logic as you have done, the commies here will, in seriousless, critisize their post.
In any event, your notion that capitalism is no fun is absurd. There are plenty of cappies who dance around like your avitar in a silly madness.
And as a good cappie, I solved NWOG's problem today, using capitalism:
I called up my bookie, who won't go lower than a minimum $20 bet, and he agreed to a 60 cent bet for NWOG.
It's a 5 team parlay. All have to win or the thing loses.
Three of the teams won today: Tennessee, Virginia, and Wisconsin. If Georgian and the Wolverines win, the 60 cents will have become $3.80. Then we can look at the pro games tomorrow.

But seriously, you should have time for a job, really. It's just not true that you spend 100% of your time on your study. I mean, your fellow students also have jobs, haven't they?
And what about getting funds from the state. In Holland you get study financing, you could use that...

why do some people have to get a job and go to school while others don't?
Because some rightfully benefit themselves from their parents' wealth?
What kind of argument is that?
I personally, wouldn't be able to cope with school and a job at the same time, I am taking too many honor subjects and AP subjects to do that.
