Is there any objective information i can read from a marxist-leninist perspective or marxist-leninist-stalinist, as to why the revolutions failed. Like the USSR and China.

Not just why the states fell, but why the revisionism? and why the lack of democracy under stalin and mao?

If you dont have literature on this then could you please explain to me. Please, leninists and stalinists only.

EDIT: also, how can we prevent these things?

Not a Stalinist, but the USSR consitution at a glance appears to be rather democratic. Something you may want to look into regarding democracy in the USSR.

Anyways, what was democracy like under stalin? People dont always follow the constitutions right.

The belief in the "Vanguard". Also, Russia and China were not industrialised which caused problems with the Marxist philosophy in practice.
