Ok this is to help me keep track of gigs in Belfast (which for some reason had a sudden influx of quality bands after years of sweet fa) and see whether any other Belfastians are up for any of them. But mainly so I don't forget about them.

Good choice my friend :D

I'm seeing that in Manchester and London. I fucking love Children of Bodom, saw them last January in London. And I really like In Flames, though I haven't seen them live yet.
I hate Slayer <_<

What are Children of Bodom's best songs in your opinion? I don't know them but I'll get them and listen.

I agree on Bodom After Midnight and Kissing The Shadows, but I would also add:

Silent Night, Bodom Night LIVE!!!!! (From album 'Tokyo Warhearts')
Children of Decadence
Hate Me!
Mask Of Sanity
Hate Crew Deathroll LIVE (amazing for crowd to sing chorus with Alexi)
Children Of Bodom

All amazing songs :D

Check out these vids:
Silent Night Bodom Night (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LR_GDB67eKg)
Hate Crew Deathroll (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Xq8e16K1pgE)

Hate Crew Deathroll has a superb bit towards the end, when the music quietens down and it's just Alexi singing, and the crowd. The crowd don't participate much though in this vid! As CoB are 'The Hate Crew' and Alexi calls the fans 'Hate Crew,' this song is basically the anthem to sing along to! :D In London, the whole audience was shouting along! The atmosphere was just amazing, can't describe it.

So I missed the Stone Roses & The Dangerfields (one was a tribute band and the other a local band I've seen before), but I saw Dick Gaughan! :D

I talked to him beforehand and asked him to play the Worker's Song but he had a cold and finished up earlier than expected. Still I got his new album and the craic was immense :D

You beat me to it.

Dick Gaughan is great, I wish he got over to the US a little more. I've only seen him once at a folk festival, which was really cool because between sets he was just walking about talking with people and really a great guy.

But I do have mixed emotions about MC5 since it isn't really the original lineup. I really dig Wayne Kramer though and would really enjoy seeing him play solo.
