Has anyone ever read the satirical publication Private Eye? I just want to know what you think if you have because at the moment I can't seem to decide where it stands politically.

Private Eye is hilarious
it's not really supposed to stand anywhere politically, it's just supposed to mock all aspects of British politics

It's always great whenever i get it but i don't follow it regularly. Making a joke out of politicians must be progessive anyway... :)

Sorry for the necropost but I'm curious as to where Private Eye stands politically too.

No where, it criticises everything. Seeing as its business men and right-wing politicians who commit mos tof the shit in society, they get mocked more than the left. But it'd mock a left wing government too.

If you're looking for the "political standing" of Private Eye you've rather missed the point.

I always thought Ian Hislop was a bit out of touch when he wrote a sitcom called My Dad's the Prime Minister.

It's ok. The real art is in the front covers. At the time of the 7/7 bombing, there was Bush on a phone saying "Yes, we'll invade Leeds."
