I know much of reggae is religious and many people will start yelling reactionary, but to you people don't post. Anyone know of any good Reggae, besides the obvious Marley,Tosh, etc..

Good reggae, as well as good Political Reggae, It's just gotta exist.

I'll probably get some stick for this but the first 2 albums by UB40 'Signing Off' and 'Present Arms' were pretty good and songs like 'King', 'Present Arms' and 'One In Ten' were quite political. After that they just ended up releasing cover versions which weren't much cop.

As for new reggae stuff check out the album 'Trojan Sessions' by Pama International. Which came out a few weeks ago.

They have a lot of political lyrics in their songs, its sometimes hard to find them. Im not sure what their political stance is exactly but it seems to be somewhat left.

But Maytals before they reformed=WAY BETTER. Modern day Toots is terrible compared to the old stuff.
