The next ICC public forum in Birmingham is being held on Saturday 23rd September at 2.00pm, Friends of the Earth Warehouse, 54a Allison Street, Digbeth.
The subject was originally going to be ‘What is communist society and how do we get there’, but because of the events in the Middle East we have decided to postpone that topic and focus on the significance of the recent war in the Lebanon:
We will be looking at the following questions:
- Does this war mean a sharpening of inter-imperialist conflicts, not only in the Middle East, but world wide?
- How does the outcome of the war affect the strategic plans of the various regional and global powers?
- What are the prospects for the class struggle in the Middle East?
- What attitude should revolutionaries have to the ‘national resistance’ organisations like Hamas and Hizbollah?
- What is an internationalist position on this war and how do we get it across?
As usual, there will be a short presentation by the ICC but the emphasis is on discussion, and all are welcome!
For Communism!
