Concern is growing over the possibility of US military action against Iran and over the entire thrust of US policy. Peace groups worldwide and across Australia are marking September 21-23, international ceasefire day, with peace rallies, vigils, and other events because there is broad- based concern, and alarm, over the war-like direction of the Bush administration.

To mark this important day, the Sydney Stop the War Coalition will be holding a peace rally at:

5.30PM THURSDAY SEPTEMBER 21, SYDNEY TOWN HALL

For Australia to be more secure, the government must adopt policies that are clearly based on justice for the whole world, not the interests of the powerful few.

Australia should take its troops out of Iraq, and should
make clear its complete opposition to any plans for military action against Iran. It should stand with, and defend, the Palestinian, Lebanese and other peoples currently being threatened. And it should press the US administration to live up to its own treaty obligations, especially in the matter of nuclear disarmament, before bullying others.
Organised by Stop the War Coalition: John -- 9810 2598, Anna -- 0401 900 690

PLEASE HELP WITH POSTERING! ph 9690 1977

END THE OCCUPATION OF IRAQ, AFGHANISTAN & PALESTINE. ISRAEL OUT OF LEBANON. DON'T ATTACK IRAN.
