IMPERIALISM AND RESISTANCE TODAY

Cost: Free

As war flares across the Middle East and popular
revolts shake Latin America, the Left needs to
understand imperialism in order to better resist it.
This conference of activists and analysts is a
contribution to doing just that. Themes include:
Imperialism, War and Resistance; Patriarchy, War and
Imperialism; Imperialism at Home: Haiti, Afghanistan,
the struggles of Indigenous peoples, and Struggles for
Migrant Workers’ Rights.

Rafeef Ziadah (Al Awda Toronto and Coalition Against

Huibin Amee Chew (Boston-based anti-imperialist and
feminist activist and writer)

Glen Coulthard (Dene scholar-activist)

magazine launch for issue 58 of New Socialist,
a special issue on the struggles of indigenous peoples.
All conference-goers are invited to attend. It will be
an ideal time to continue the discussions of the day
in an informal enviroment and socialize with other
conference attendees:
