I'm new to the leftism =)

And i was reading about communism, and it sounds fucking awesome, but i have some concerns.

Is our society to fucked up to achieve communism?

Most people i ask about communism and i ask there opinion of it, say it's not gonna work, nothing works, people are greedy and selfish.

In my opinion, living in a capitalist society creates greed.

And i have one more question, im turning old enough to work now, but because of what i believe, it's kinda hypocritcal to work at mcdonalds and such, the only places that hire at 15.

So what do i do?

Not work?

Grrr, i'm off to school now.

Boo at school <_<

No.

Of course you should work there. Being a communist and working at McDonald's isn't hypocritical. What your'e talking about are lifestyle choices and you not working at McDonald's isn't going to change anything. If you need money you work for someone that steals from you; that's going to happen no matter where you work.

No. It will take work, but it can be done.

:D Congratulations, you understand what most economists and political scientists go their entire careers without figuring out.

Department stores are major bludges, I worked in the electronics section for months and did close to nothing.

One, stop using the f-word profusely, adolescent comrade. You sound like a moron when you do.

Second, don't procliam yourself a communist without doing copious reading. The subject and information is vast and you're not going to pick up much of anything on here. RevLeft is a discussion area, sort of a supplement, but it won't do you any good if you're not reading and thinking for yourself.

Three, if you understood class struggle you would realize that a nation is build on the backs of workers, i.e. the people at McDonalds. Go ahead and be employed because if you sit on your couch and do nothing, you have no right to be associated with the working class movement. Even if you are being exploited, contribute or don't claim allegience.

Four, school is one of the most valuable tools for picking up information and having productive discussions and debates with others. Get involved with your school's debate team. Get on the forefront of community service projects. The working class movement is all about this sort of thing. Will some teachers be biased? Sure, but get over it. Bias isn't going anywhere, even in a socialist society.

Well, by attending school you are facing oppression, from your teachers. You can help fight this oppression by organizing students and openly resisting your educators. Look at the thread in theory by me titled A Warning to Students of all Ages.

Don't worry too much about working, unless you really have to for economic reasons. You have your whole life ahead of you to work, why start now?

Two in a fairly short and fairly simplistic message, not to mention the fact that it was completely out of place.

And comrade kurts, please stay out of my threads from now on, you could of said what you said without belittling me for saying fuck.

And i've been on this forum for a year now, so i have been reading, i just signed up, so im not Completely new, i've just always wondered those things.

And working at mcdonalds is contributing?

How, by making people fat and fueling the capitalist machine with more money?

I just need a job, and that is the only place that hires at 15 in my city.

And thanks fob, i'm going to check that out.
