Like I mentioned earlier, I'm like the only radical leftist *only leftist too* at my school. They say shit like, "Oh you look very nice in your capitalistic clothes" "very nice capitalistic shoes"
like they expect me to come to school naked. and they are just shoes, nothing fancy or anything. I don't know what to say to them. What do I say??

Two words, first one starts with an "F" and the second ends with a "u"

Satisfying needs is not capitalistic.

Having wants isn't capitalistic either.

Boycotting every capitalist organisation in the world isn't going to bring down a system you oppose.

Tell them that socialism is about ensuring that wealth is shared so no one need go without clothes, etc.

Capitalism was an essential phase that humanity had to go through, just as feudalism was.

Can you imagine one of these numpties at your school being told, say, back in the 13th century: "Oh, I see you are wearing very nice feudal clothing..."?

Would that have meant that they would have abandoned the development of capitalism?

The problem is that although capitalism has developed the productive capacity of society to cater for everyone's needs, it trades on artificial scarcity, and so does not cater for their needs.

As Engels said: we now have scarcity where there need not be any.

At no other time in history could that have been said.

Socialism is about taking that productive capacity and democratically controlling it in the interests of the vast majority, as opposed to those of the overwhelming minority.

Ask them how they expect you to live a socialist lifestyle in a capitalist world. It's very difficult when corporations control the world and the lives of billions.

Or buy some sweat-free, union made clothing. It might be a better option for you than giving money to money-guzzling companies.

I actually went through the same at first.

I may start to argue on how Communism works, and why "they" (By they meaning capitalists, or any other ideologies) are wrong. But when I dont have the energy/a bad day I use the strategy that I have described at the bottom of this post.

However, as soon as someone see the bad side of my fist, they tend to become more respective.

When I dont use that strategy, I usually counter them with something smart, so that they shut up and realise they are wrong/stupid. An example; "Nice capitalistic shoes youve got there!" (Fist in face) OR; "Nice Che shirt, Stupid. ps; want to tell me where I can purchase some Commy shit?"

Yep.. The "abuse" of the image that is Che, makes me sick.

He is now a trading commodity, I dont know what Che would say about this if he lived.
