What radical or progressive books do you all recommend on African American history? I would greatly appreciate suggestions as I need these books for an important personal project. It would be great if they were short, simple, and accurate reads.

Before the Mayflower by Lerone Bennett (long, but informative)
Roots by Alex Haley (long but amazing)
The Souls of Black Folk by WEB DuBois (short, concise, and great)
My Bondage and My Freedom by Frederick Douglass
The Autobiography of Malcolm X is always informative
Some of these are long, they're good but long, sorry bout that
