I know elections are considered a load of crap by a lot of people here, but the Irish general elections are coming up in nine months (I think) and parties are starting to promote themselves and try to buy votes.
I think this would be a good time to get an awareness campaign going to remind the people that even though they're promising all sorts of things for the next term, they're going to fail yet again, and that we don't have to put up with it anymore.
One of the bigger ideas I have is to organise a mass march and/or demonstration in Dublin expressing our complaints at the government. It could also be made to be festival-like and be a family day out in a way. Maybe back it up with other marches in towns around the country?
Whatever might happen, I think we have a good opportunity to get in touch with people and basically slate the government.
