Be nice, Rouch.
I don't know if you know, Chaz, but the CPUSA is totally reformist and I couldn't find one person who would call it a "communist" party. That's what Rouch is getting at.

Um, I am aware of the perception of the CPUSA. I don't believe in armed insurgency. or Maoism. I believe that socialist revolution can come from democratic means as well.

I don't think they're hinting towards that
You're thinking of Chairman Bob
I think that them, like most communists/socialists here, believe that the CPUSA neglects workers and peasants, and focuses more on bourgeoisie politics
In addition, they don't emphasize a workers revolution (which most here deem necessary for socialism to take place)
Rather, they believe that through democracy exploitation and capitalism will fade away
A position that is as reactionary as it is reformist
Look up Chile under Allende, and you'll find out why many here, including me, dismiss bourgeoisie politics as a way to achieve a proletarian revolution
The only way that socialism and possibly communism will take place is through a revolution of the working class
BTW: Welcome

I'm not scared off by anyone.
If we all had the exact same Ideas, what would we debate on? this lends to boring conversation.
I'm not a follower of the MLM or king bob. I don't believe in hero worship. I don't subscribe to personality cults. I don't believe in violence, I think that Allende was in office for 3 years and that is not enough time to bring about a complete revolution. Chavez in Venezuela has had a new constitution in place and brought quite the social change down there. mind you he was voted into office.
It is ignorant to say there is only one way to change something. I don't subscribe to inflexible parties that don't work well with others.
On of the great things about working in a party is being able to bring about change within the party. Instead of *****ing about it in a forum and doing nothing, I decided to do something. I went in.
there are a lot of older parties in the US that are doing little or nothing. It's great to have on line magazines or news papers to keep you up on world affairs. Especially to get world events that are not spun to support the capitalist machine.
It is so important to spread the word. make some noise do something, do anything. There is a lot of dead wood in these American Socialist parties.
lead assed cynics who have lost the fire.
people who have been overwhelmed by the struggle.
these folks might know more than I do, but they are absolutely useless because they don't utilize their knowledge anymore. They do not match their spoken words with many actions any longer.
I tend to stick with the older parties because of a few reasons.
Small parties that meet once a year in a trailer in Flagstaff are not going anywhere.
Small parties with L.Ron Hubbard type people leading them and want to lead an armed insurgency against a government that has over 7,000 military bases and 2.4 million peoples to fight against is suicidal and not going anywhere.
I know everyone has their own interpretation of what is right with marxism. but currently, most of the leftist parties have 15,000 or less in actual membership. I know that doesn't include sympathizers.
There were over 122 million votes cast in the 2004 election. In order for even a blip on the radar, every leftist in this country would have to vote for the same guy and probably convince many friends to do the same. I'm fully aware this is not a next election possibility, but crap, when, man when? 20 of the last 28 years have been run by the most reactionary presidents in US history. are we gong to allow this to continue? while our entire future is more and more controlled by big business and big government imperialist murdering war mongers?
I'm not sure if everyone knows how big of a task this is. If they did, I'm sure there would be a much greater sense of urgency. Perhaps the ones that do realize how big this is are afraid that it is too big.
Those who say" it will never happen" do not belong in the movement!
Those who say "it might take 50 years" do not belong in the movement!
Those who talk and do nothing are either charlatans or cowards.
UNITE COMRADES UNITE!

Aye, I agree with you, and the point made about Marxism-Leninism is utterly fallacious, just read both Trotsky's essay on Leninism and Stalinism and Draper's "Myth of Lenin's concept of Party Organisation", then tell me that Leninists are carnivorous - tell me that the best method of starting a revolution, through action and biding your time strategically, implies gulags and death squads going around to workers' houses.
The myth of Leninism surrounds the fact that Leninism is the natural inherent precursor of the vanguard being a party structure to rule the working class, when it was Lenin, the real Leninist, who formed the vanguard to protect the Soviet system - the real democracy in 1917 - who was the only leader of any political organisation at that time who was doing essentially what the Jacobins did 125 years earlier, but on behalf of the workers, for universal suffrage and real grassroots democracy.
You need to get your heads out of your arses and begin to understand the true need and nature of revolutions.
Valued comrade Chaz is the only one to make himself clear on this to start with.

I support the CPUSA, to a great extent. And i'm a leninist.
So does this mean i will be banned according to RevLeft rules? I have been told they are very harsh to people who dont follow the right ideology, i dont mean to offend anyone.

He is a populist and still a capitalist. He is an anti-american-imperialist with some socialist qualities.
