Did anyone else here this story? There was a promotional video for the BNP and they used the Kaiser Chief's 'I Predict A Riot' on it. When Ricky Wilson (lead singer) saw this video on YouTube he went mental. He immediately ordered for it to be removed from YouTube and said the BNP should have asked permission before using their song, because if they had asked for permission they would certainly have been denied it. He said he didn't want to be ascociated with an organisation like that.

i heard the story - apparently the video was only made by a supporter of the bnp and not by the party therefore, beyond removing the video, no action can be taken.

Good on the KCs though.

Ah I see. I was under the impression that this was an official BNP video. But yeah, its good to know Ricky Wilson and co. care about this sort of thing. If i was in their position and my song was used in a BNP promotional video I would probably go on a murderous rampage :P

Yeah definitely. I'm hoping their next step will be making music that isn't a complete pile of shite.

I would sue their arse and then give the money to a leftie organization just to really piss the bnp off.

Actually, I'm pretty sure I remember hearing something similar about the BNP and Dido. Having had a song out called "White Flag" and then one called "This life is mine" she ended up having to deal with the BNP claiming the songs were "white power" songs.

Dido and the Kaiser Chiefs. More than anything, this thread proves the complete crap musical taste of the BNP.

I hadn't heard the thing about dido.

ever seen the music they sell on their website?

lmao. I don't think I'd be able to listen to it without totally cracking up - what a load of utter shite.

Presumably Dido doesn't want her music used in fascist torture camps.

Dido would be good in a torture camp, it would drive people insane. Probably crueler than a lot of Hitler's many methods.

And what's wrong with the Kaiser Chiefs?!?! I love them, lol.

LOL - Kaiser Chiefs at Reading Festival put on a good set (awaits banning and beating with sticks* Dido sucks ass though.

I'm not surprised he went ape-shit at the use of his song, if I had a hint of anything of mine being used by those scum I'd go fucking mental.

Then why is her music such utter shite?

That she thought it could be used in torture camps is the only logical explanation for her having made music that crap in the first place. Either that or she had a competition with the Kaiser Chiefs as to who could produce the most aural bullshit...
