This is a very interesting area of "science", where philosophy definitely comes into play. The idea of sharing and reciprocating is very essential for leftist ideologies, and is the basis for Free Software. However, Free Software also fits well to a certain extent with far right "libertarian" ideologies. These extreme liberal ideologies see the idea of copyright or other intellectual "property" to be stupid and at odds with the idea of real property. They see intellectual "property" as a government granted monopoly.

I have not yet read the article, but will respond in greater depth after having done so.

Sure...

Words straight from a fanatical libertarian on this board himself.

Libertarians believe in rights to intellectual property (http://www.revolutionaryleft.com/index.php?showtopic=50686&view=findpost&p=1292085183)

If it suits them for making money, Libertarians would back any kind of private property.

libertarians are the worst nutjobs i have ever faced fuck they even think poeple should be able to sell themselves into slavery.
and that its perfectly fine to leave someone starving in the streets or not give healthcare.

next time im going to bother to debate with one of those libertarians i will bring a gun and let it do the talking.
