Why? Can't I, a jewish israeli, understand the suffering of the palestinians and fight against the occupation? Can't a turkish person do the same about the kurds?

Most of the soldiers (not officers) come from the working class. It is our job as communists to convince them not to rebel and refuse to be servants of imperialism. In the german revolution (1919, failed, Luxemburg wrote about it some articles) they even founded soldiers' councils along with workers' councils. We should care alot about the sufferings of these soldiers, since they are one of the bases to the revolution.

ok.i agree with u il commy. In fact there are no prob between kurds and turks.because we r brothers and sisters.usa, europen countries and arabic countries didnt want a strong turkey on this area. For this they showed the kurd prob.what is kurd prob?reuben?IPkurd?all people lives east of turkey had same prob. But kurds began to fight to turks.for what?for freedom?they r free essentially.Because of poor conditions?Every turk in the east had same probs.but kurds killed 30,000 innocent people in the east.
i am sharing my desk with a kurd at school. And there are a lot of kurds at my school. But we dont have main problems.i am repeating.we got no prob.we r brothers .we must organize to USA and its dogs together. Then we will got the real freedom.(i must say that i am supporting govennment includes prime minister,... and i am doing nothing for ur expections reuben.all my work for turk and kurd folks freedom and socialism)

So you're saying kurds in Turkey are like blacks in the USA, and not like palestinians in the middle east?

I think what's happening is that the kurds want a free kurdistan , while at the same time the turks one some territory of the iraqi-kurdis zone.

Those tuekish troops were special forces, suposedly there to kill kurdish leaders.

Since the kurds are the most reliable allie the US had in the war they don't want to see border clasheh betwen turkish and kurd troops.

The reson the turkish troops were capture was to suposedly prevent them from assasinating a kurd political figure.

The other possibility is that they were trying to arm, or give military training to, Iraqi Turkmeni groups, for use in intercommunal conflict. The happy face Turkey could try to put on this is helping Turkmeni defend themselves from Kurdish ethnic cleansing - which is going on, with minimal objection from the US/UK occupiers - but basically its just another capitalist state seeking to intervene in its own interests.

you say that us kurds are free in turkey, but are we, we cant name our children with kurdish names. we cant speack our language, we get abbused by officials if we stand up for kurdish rights so how the hell is that free?

us kurds use to want a kurdistan but now kurdish leaders are calling that "outdated nationalism" (but i still want whats right fully ours) so dont have to worry about losing your land just yet. ok we are brothers, but how can we go from turks murdering people, burning down villages, raping women to brotherhood?

You say that we killed 30,00 civilians, but that was due to the war between us two we didnt just kill people because they didnt complay with the PKK, APO killed many soliders but the turkish goverment changed this so that it looks like the soldiers were civilians, you just happen to believe everything turkish TV tells you.

and dont say i believe everything Med-ya TV tells us because i dont watch it

I hate to disagree with you, but I have a cousin who is an airman in the RAF, he has a masters degree and comes from a typical middle class family.

I agree with you, but those were not ordinary soldiers. They were commando's, known for their dedication and natioalism.
