I went! It was fucking amazing! Pearl Jam rocked out againsst George Bush, it was incredible.

Muse also rocked, although the arctic monkeys sucked big fat hairy balls. The Kooks were a big disappointment :(

It was lucky for us because we were working on the bars so we go the safety, cleanliness and tranquility of the Workers Beer Comany campsite with proper showers and everything...:P

I love Leeds Festival. Did anyone else go!

Screw that, Reading all the way :P

The Kooks were the last band I saw on Sunday - they were good, but shouldn't have been put in a tent, they were way too popular. My friend passed out in the crush.

I thought Muse were a disappointment, but that might be because I was so far back after seeing Coheed and Cambria, who were absolutely awesome. I've never seen hair that big, or hair that could play the guitar for that matter :P

Hearing the 60,000-strong crowd (on the main stage) each night shouting out the words to "****s Still Run The World" was a damn good experience too :P

Never been. Im closer to Leeds, so that's why its better for me.

I think that was partly the problem. We were right at the fucking back of the NME tent outside being crushed, so we only had the big monitor thing. We had some guy come on the stage and shout at everyone because people at the front were getting crused.

Sssshh fool :P

That didn't happen at Leeds. People are obviously far more radical in the south...

Did you not see pearl jam???

I went to Leeds.

I thought Muse were pretty *****in, especially in the pouring rain. Added to the atmosphere.

Kaisers and Franz were my faviroute headliners.

Slayer and Leathal Bizzle were my 'suprises'. I'd never heard any of their stuff before and they were both awesome.

Ummm. Yeah, was good fun. Bit expensive, though.

Nah, we had to take my friend back to the camp site and revive her a bit (with copious amounts of alcohol and drugs - how we ended up on the last night with 4 unopened crates and 2 8th's untouched I'll ever know :P). My friends who went said they were one of the best gigs they'd ever seen.

Kaiser and Franz were damn good - I preferred Kaiser Chiefs because I know more of their songs so could get into them a lot me.

Slayer was class - I'm not a heavy metaller, but the pit for them wasnt too bad and the lead singer was a cool guy - you never expect a heavy metal frontman to grin throughout the whole show :D

The Subways were damn, damn good - especially since I didn't think much of the album first time round. I saw Panic!, and the bit where the lead singer got taken out by a bottle :P but the put on a class set. FoB were a bit shite, I didn't stay to the end of them. They are definitely a small-gig band ;)

Erm, who else? Oh yeah, Flogging Molly - in my opinion, best band of the festival. Before you shout "Heretic" and similar - they played two sets in one day, and each one killed. I've never been to a gig as fun as either of those, and thats what made them the best band.

We were working on the Dreamteam bar (stage right) so we could see the crowd in the rain, it looked pretty fucking amazing. Fortunately I was protected by the bar :P

Slayer sucked ass! There like 50 year old gloths singing about killing yourself and cutting your arms and shit...get over it!

Bit expensive, though.

Ill never go to Leeds as a "punter" again. Working for WBC means you get a secured campsite which is quiet with proper hot showers and toilets. Subsidised bar in the workers village (£1 for a pint of guiness), food vouchers and subsidised food and if you make friends with another group free booze all night from the fesitval bars...plus you get into the event for free!

why has no one mentioned anti-flag? Front row :D yeah!

Millencolin and anti-flag were awesome. Less than Jake weren't bad. But I reckon Franz were a bit of a disappointment - Kaiser Chiefs were much better. New born performed in the rain was truly amazing.

I fancied seeing Anti-Flag, but they clashed with Muse I think. Millencolin were good, as we Less Than Jake.

yeah I missed the first two songs by muse because they started 10 mins before anti-flag finished but it was totally worth it - they were fantastic.

Lol, I subsisted on French sticks and cans of pineapples for the weekend :P But I did get a 99 ice-cream which cost £3, which filled me with disgust. What really annoyed me though was that when me and some friends took a flag into the stadium on the last day, they stole the bamboo cane that we had already bought, snapped it, and told us to buy another one from the same vendor. I mean, what the fuck??

I'm sorry but I found your post very funny. Thats the kind of shit that happens to me!
These places just fucking rip people off. No wonder there are sometimes riots. I would have hit the roof over the bamboo cane. Fucking robbing bastards make me spew.

Lol, no need to apologise; it was funny, in an enraging sort of way. Although we did get our own back by nicked the bamboo cane we were supposed to buy :P

Slayer- DO YOU WANNA DIIIIIIE?!
Crowd- YEAHHHHHHH!

That was pretty lame.

I was just impressed by their musical talent. They certainly know how to play.

And who are WBC? Might try and get me a job at Leeds next year if I can...
