I saw this with my friends, who described it as dysfunctional family racing to Redondo Beach to enter the daughter in a beauty contest.
It's perhaps one of the funniest damn movies I've ever seen.
For isntance, they travelling in a VW van and the clutch gives out. So the mechanic says "Well, you only really need the clutch to move from 1st to 2nd gear in these old vans. If you are on a hill or an incline and can get it maybe 15 to 20 miles per hour and get it in 3d gear, you won't need the clutch."
The dad replies "That's great, but we're not on a hill." The mechanic grunts "MM, maybe a running start would work?" :lol:
