So what's the best e-mail service? Quickest, most storage, etc. in your opinion.

Thanks. :)

I have yahoo right now, but it kind of sucks. Plus my friends have had cases of their account being deleted, atleast the activist ones. Lately mine has really been acting up.

Yahoo sucks definitely. I use Mail.Ru. It's free, has good spam-filters and the storage capacity is unlimited. But it's only in Russian :(

www.gmail.com (http://www.gmail.com)

works great for me. It was weird to get used to at first... but you have loads of storage, practically infinite, lol. andd there's a gmail chat section, which from what I've been told, can't be traced because it's through a website and not a messenger.... ;)

I use my gmail far more than I use my hotmail addresses.

I have loads of invites if anyone wants one.

I've got loads of gmail accounts (and loads of invitations too) but the account I use most is at gmx.net. Free, 1GB storage, fast and reliable but the set up process is in German. Been using it for years.

I use gmail, I have a few accounts, v.easy to do.

Just send an invite to [email protected] (ie - make an address up) then go in your sentbox and click the invite accept thing, I have about 4 addresses now.

I have two Yahoo accounts that I have had since about 1999ish. I am really happy with them both. Spam filter is really good, features are good. I can use POP is I want (at least I should be able to, but when I tried it only downloaded 100 messages before dieing). Heaps of space, I'm using less then 10%.

Otherwise I say get your own domain and setup a POP system with your ISP, if you have your own computer that you can use.

Gmail definately, especially as you can use it for file storage with the near 3gb space they give you you're never going to need anything else.

Host your own webserver and encrypt it with PGP. Public servers die and are watched.

I think it's horrid. It's the second slowest mail service I've ever had (AOL is the first).

The single best public mail server is gmail. It has a built-in web page creator as well.

wait a minute.... so you have to be invited my a gmail user in order to register an account? wtf are you guys talking about. lol

Yes, you have to be invited, but it's not hard. PM me for invites.

Basically, since GMail isn't completely finished yet, it's still in the beta stages to my knowledge, it is selective if you can get space. If you have an invite, you're golden ;)

I'm deff. going to have to go with my Gmail account. I've been using it for a year and it has been my favorite. I also have a ton of invites if anyone needs one.

Ah, see I never tried that, I always presumed they wouldn't be stupid enough to allow people to send themselves invites :D
Meh, I'll carry on with what I do already, should I wish to have more, as it doesn't clog my inbox with pointless emails, and it takes exactly the same amount of time (or maybe even less) to just type something random.
