Grave of the Fireflies

I not sure if many people have seen this film. Its an anti-war Japanese animation about 2 orphaned kids struggling, in late WW2 Japan, to survive. Its a semi-autobiographical account of Akiyuki Nosaka and his little sister's battle to stave of starvation, under constant attack by the US airforce.
It would bring a tear to a glass eye. I saw it on film4, it will be repeated.

I presume you're talking about the Miyazaki animation? If so, I loved that movie. It made me cry. Excellent movie.
