after doing what research i could, i still am unable to comprehend how the US can continue with its blind support of isreal. isreal may be a small country, but its shown nothing but militaristic aggression, even during the most peaceful times. what else are you going to call the settlers whose "farming communities" sre built on land even isreal recognizes as palestinian. now with iran providing tangible military support to hezbollah, things cabn only become worse. is this really what the world has come to?

I cannot understand how socialists would be confused as to who to support.

Israel, whatever one might think of its policies, is still far closer to the ideals of socialism than is Hezbollah, Iran, Hamas et. al.

For a socialist choosing whether to support Islamic forces or Israel is like asking what kind of saw would we like to saw our head off with.

when did i ask who should i support? did i say, help me decide? did i ask which cause was more just? no, i jsut said that i thought it was BS that the US blindly supports Israel. please dont infer from my name that im constantly seeking your input. i can voice my own opinions, thus i post here where i can here yours as well.
my biggest point of confusion has been that the US seems to build up its future enemies. i don't have any questions about which cause is more just, theyre both bunk and untenable. i think the US is just happy building its enemies. that way there always a conflict to be involved in.

Why does the U.S. so strongly support Israel in it's fight against militant Islam?

Countries tend to support their allies during war. Hezbollah desires the destruction of both Israel and America; therefore Israel and America support each other in the destruction of Hezbollah.

That's one of the most incorrect statements I've heard today. The ideals of socialism doesn't include making Arabs live as second class citizens, one third of the population in poverty, and colonizing and exploiting the Palestinian population.

And wishing for the death or conversion of the entire nonmuslim world is? If you all hate facists so much how can you support militant Islam over Israel. They believe Muslims are the master race simply using religon instead of race as the defing factor. They seek to dominant the entire world and convert everyone to Islam or murder them. Ya, Israel does some horrible things to, but we can just how far Israel is willing to go in the murder of other people because they possess the ability to to decimate their enemies civilian populations at any moment. They could kill 100,000's of muslims in a matter of days if they wanted to, but they do not. Militant Islam would destroy the entire populations of Israel and America in a heartbeat if they possessed the capability.

There is abslolutely no comparision.
