I want to make a shirt that is half red and half black split diagonally all around the shirt, but I don't know how to make the dye line split perfectly, since dye tends to run a little.

I'd buy one but I don't want someone else to capitalize off an idea that is entirely agaisnt that. So could someone at least provide links to buy one from a place that supports the cause?

I'd rather make one, just for the hell of it though.

The first thing that comes to my mind is using something waterproof that will block the dye from the fabric, like wax or something similar. The problem with that is that you'll have a pach with no colour at all. Maybe you could fix that bit after?

Why not buy a red and a black t shirt and cut them iun half, that way, you have 2 red n black shirts.
Do make sure your sewing material is storng enough so they don't fall apart

good idea but why would he have a blank patch?

if he got a red t-shirt and then put the wax across it diagonally he could dye the other bit black and the bit under the wax would be red.

I think I'll just look for one, if worst comes to worst, and I can't find one, I'll just have a pro make one, as the online shirt stores can't do it. If cheap enough, I'll sell them and donate the proceeds to some anarchist organization...casue I'm cool like that. ;)

I'm very compulsive about this for some reason. =\

Cool. I was thinking about making a shirt like this for a while. There's dye fixatives that you can BUY (but it kinda of defeats the point,eh?) I think you should just put a piece of tape through the middle dye one side wait for it to dry completely. Tape on the other side that's dry and dye the other side.

I would, but my brother took his digital camera on holiday. I'll post it in the revolutionary collection as soon as he gets back.
