Key words, my friend.
I highly doubt it though.

A priest at my school one used the phrase "Workers of the World Unite" in an effort to get people to work on the school yearbook, it went over the school announcements.
And to answer your question, I have never heard of that before and I highly doubt that Marx did feel that way.

Dont listen to priests. Dont listen to capitalists. There are so many lies going around about communism and the USSR.
BTW are you going to start reading some more literature. Like Das Kapital?
I hope you dont become disillusioned and turn into a liberal.

Hahaha, sorry this just made me crack up. Look at the person who is telling you this info. Dont trust everyone who tells you something (especially a priest), I have been feed lies for the past 14 years and all that changed since I got onto these forums.

He told me god would send me to hell if I ever showed those pictures he took of me to the police....
I have read all of Marx's major works and a lot of his other letters...and I have never seen or even heard of this. To think that communist struggle is useless is contrary to historical materialism.
Perhaps he has gotten Marxism confused with Menshevism or the ideas of Blanque. Or perhaps he is just trying to fool you.
There is an easy way to figure this out. Ask him where Marx wrote it. ;)

Oh yeah, and I've found it best to keep your politics a secret to most reactionaries.

No it is not true at all.Although it would be quite funny,"ive spent my whole life studying capitalist economics and developing new social and economic theory, just to laugh in your face when you believe it!"

I don't think this is true, but I do believe that later in his life he had expressed frustration at the developing political situation in Europe.

I also have never heard of that quote, although even if it were true (which I doubt), it wouldn't change the situation. Marx was a man, not a god.
