Notso Outlandish

After lurking here for a while now I thought it was about time I said hello.
hello comrades
Whilst I have always been a socialist I have also long been an ardent pacifist. My attitude towards violent revolution was probe ably similar to those expressed recently by RedFlagDawn - http://www.revolutionaryleft.com/index.php?showtopic=54100.
Though I have not consistently been an activist in the traditional sense, it seems to be my nature to espouse socialism and denounce capitalism at every opportunity in both my working and my social life. As you can imagine, this means that I have got through a lot of jobs and have few friends. :-)
I am sad to say that events of recent years have finally blown away my hope that a just society could be achieved peacefully. The grip of those who oppose justice is now I believe far too tight to allow that.
I am afraid my intellectual understanding of political theory is dwarfed by some I read and try to understand on here, but hope that I can learn much and clarify my own thoughts on what path I now take.
What I am sure of is:-
Capitalism is feeding on the blood of millions of my brothers and sisters.
Those who currently have the power to stop it, have no intention of doing so.
I will never willingly entrust absolute power to a group of "professional" politicians ever again.
I think my arduous 50 year journey from socialism via communism is finally coming home to anarchism. Exactly what flavour I don't yet know.
I will read and I hope, learn.
Thanks for being here.
