2 PM yesterday, swedish time, Stockholm Homeless together with several factions of the invisible party occupied the Civic square (Medborgarplatsen) in central Stockholm, in protest of the neo-liberal housing policy. At the Cvic square the major political parties have raised their election cabins (for the election this autumn) but now some of them are home for the homeless (and paper walls with information from various radical groups are raised around other cabins.

Flyers (and cakes) were spread, football and music was played, discussions and debates were held. Also free pirate cinema (V for Vendetta) was shown at the square at midnight. Also free outside internet (very pleasant sitting with a laptop taking a bear while watching this incredible event), grafitti walls, dancing and other social activities.

People of avery age visited in great numbers and the reaction was almost always positive.

2 pm today Stockholm Homless together with a number of factions of the Invisible Party occupied the civic square, and thus broke into the election campaign that wont take notice of our existance. The 20000 open homeless that usually is thrown around as election promises are surounded by a vast number of invisibles, either in total loss of a place to live or in the borderline of black contracts, third hand livings and refugee hidings that exist all over Stockholm.

But we don't stand perplexed, if we don't get our housing we will take them. So now we are moving in to the election cabins and get to see how much solidarity there really is among the political parties, and whos votes there actually are room for when they talk about "society". Wich party will be the first to throw the homless out of their houses, something they otherwise leave to lower white-collar workers. A festival will be held in connection with this; music and fotball will be played, debates on the housing policy, the collectiv traffic and the care of our elders will be held.

By those who are direcly touched, by those who live in what they talk about.

No one demands pay. Everyone wants to change.

We have no choice. /Angry 08
