Ive seen it.It's quite boring really but definetly worth the watch if you are interested in Cuban Communist Party propaganda.

It makes some valid points and there's nothing in it that I disagree with, but it is clearly a propoganda film.

I know I didn't like that film, thought it was boring and a propoganda film.

It was an over stylised propoganda film which was too long, too sanctimonious and at times incredibly dull.

The film was bad, regardless of whether it was Cuban.

Furthermore, you have to learn, as an adult, that peoples opinions will differ to yours. Excaliming "TAT, you know shit" is not only wrong, but incredibly immature. Learn from that.

Despite the production being patronized by the USSR and the Cuban government, the movie was not ordered by any government. It was an independent and artistic initiative. Not propaganda.

Furthermore, it won many awards and is tremendously lauded by film critics and professional directors and cinematgraphers for it's beautiful shots and poetic storytelling.

So your criticisms are ignorant
i.e. you don't know shit
if it bored you that is one thing
but it's a great movie nonetheless

The film is clearly a propaganda film. I'm not saying that's a bad thing necessarily, but any attempt to claim that the film did not have a specific bias and political agenda is absurd.

So was 'Titanic'.

How is a subjective opinion, ignorant?

In your opinion, not in mine. See how that works...?

Best movie line ever: 'Since we're all men aare created equal we'll choose the ladies by ballot' or something like that. The guy just looked so cheesy I couldn't stop laughing.

Good try, but that isn't what I said.
You made the ignorant and false assertion that Soy Cuba is Cuban Communist Party propaganda, which it isn't. The fact that it has a political bias never came into question. But nice spin.

So the film didn't benefit the Cuban Communist Party then? Are you saying that the story line throughout the entire film, in fac the entire premise of the film had absolutely no propoganda benefits for the Cuban Communist Party.

How naive of you!

Are you really this thick?

So the film didn't benefit the Cuban Communist Party then?

Except that wasn't your false assertion. You said that it was propaganda of the Cuban Communist Party.

Are you saying that the story line throughout the entire film, in fac the entire premise of the film had absolutely no propoganda benefits for the Cuban Communist Party.

Again, your false assertion which I negated was that it was Cuban Communist Party propaganda, not that it had "propaganda benefits." That's fucking bullshit.

How naive of you!

How insincere of you!

Whether Soy Cuba benefited the agenda of the Cuban Communist Party wasn't your claim. You said it was, and I quote "Cuban Communist Party propaganda". It wasn't. It was an independent initiative, sponsored by the state, as were all major film productions. Perhaps you should reword your post to read, worth the watch if you are interested in films whose political agendas are in accordance with those of the Cuban Communist Party

of course soy cuba is a propoganda film but that doesn't make it bad. it is still a very good looking film. for 1964 it was ahead of it's time in the way it looked (b&w aside)
