Unitary Urbanism

I've been reading up on Unitary Urbanism lately. I think I understand the basics, but I'm not sure. Is anyone here knowledgable in the field of unitary urbanism?

I see at as a new way of looking at urban planning, architechture, and the way and order in which people live. Am I right?
