Now, I'm still confused as to what our daily lives would be like in a socialist/communist country. Like would we wake up and have bare rooms, with just a bed, and maybe a tv. or would it be similar to what we have now?

No, you would not have a bare, spartan bedroom.

You could have pretty much anything you wanted in your bedroom. Make it as beautiful as you want!

Under communism people will be able to do as they please. 'From each according to his abilities, to each according to his needs'. People do stuff they enjoy and share in it with others.

There may be rationing at first especially immediately following the revolution. But communism depends on the superabundance and technological progress generated by capitalism so I don't think we would have to live a spartan life for long.

As for housing, I think things would work much differently from what it is now since there is so much waster, inefficiency, and sprawl in housing particularly in the suburbs.
