I am doing Revolution as a common theme for my senior literature project. I am going to read a few novels (fiction) in which revolution is a common theme.
Who can recommend some good ones? :D

Revolution as in change in general or revolution as in violent insurrection?

That's awesome. I wish I had been more politically aware when I was in high school. That would have made for some awesome discussions with my history teacher

"Tale of Two Cities" by Charles Dickens is one that immediately comes to mind. But that would be a quite common response. Hemingway's "For Whom the Bell Tolls" is a good one too.

Do they have to be fiction or non-fiction?
Fiction: The Underdogs by Mariano Azuela
Non-fiction: History of the Russian Revolution by L. Trotsky

Violent insurrection. Like V for Vendetta. :D

Of course!
Hemingway's "For Whom the Bell Tolls" is a good one too.
Yeah, I was thinking that too. I really adore that book.

I can find non-fiction on revolution with no problem...it is good fiction on revolution that I am looking for.
History of the Russian Revolution is great. I will probably read it again for the project.
Fiction: The Underdogs by Mariano Azuela
I will check it out.
Fight Club.
Hm. That seems more nihilistic than revolutionary.
I'll think about it. ;)
Thanks for the suggestions everyone! Keep it up! :)

I haven't read that one. It's non-fiction, isn't it?

No big deal. It's not that I am only reading fiction, it's that I don't really need much help finding non-fiction books on revolution since that is practically all I have. :P
I might consider reading Homage to Catalonia anyway. I have always wanted to, just never really acted on it.
