I'm not sure if you guys care, but I was supprisingly shocked today. My english teacher had a map of Cuba on her wall in the class. I asked her the story behind that. She said her family came from Cuba. That her family fled during the Cuban Revolution. Then she said her uncle fought in the revolution and was with Che and Fidel in the Sierra Maestra mountains. So I asked her if he knew Chem and she said not really, but her mother had breakfast with Che. I will try to find out more info like their names. She was one of my favorite teachers before, now she is my favorite

Why did her family flee during the Revolution? Especially if they have had family members who fought for it?

im not sure. I think her uncle left some time during the revolution to go with his family. I honestly don't know all of it. it was after class that I asked her so I didn't get the whole story. I'll ask her tomorrow though.

I'm not sure. I imagine she's in her early to mid 40's so she was probably fairly young.

I asked my teacher. She said her parents were in College at the time. I believe Che visted her school and the oppurtunity rose for her mom to have breakfast with Che. Her mom I believe also met Fidel. She said her family left because they were executing alot of of people, she said just groups of people like homosexuals, and such. Also they took away both of her grandfathers companies, so they felt the need to flee, that including her uncle who again was fighting in the Sierra Madres. He had to flee illegaly because she said Fidel wouldn't let him leave.

Yeah someone I know from another forum was an exile and he speaks nothing but good of El Che from his mothers side but his grandfather speaks crazy talk. The real people executed were mostly spies.
