The Yuppies have finally been defeated by the basic morals and principles of this life we live.

Niel Hansen deserves a hatless round of applause for his efforts in making MP's see the brutality that lays within our yuppy culture. His demand that "no compromise" be made on a ban on fox hunting appears to have been met by many MP's now. Despite a few idiots such as Alum Michael (Shame on my constituency for voting that fool in) speaking out about a "legitimate" piece of legislation. his definition of "Legitimate" by the way, involves not upsetting the toffs.

Even Ann Widdecombe, yes Ann Widdecombe, urged MP's in today's debate to put an all out end to the "barbarism" that is the fox-hunt.

Every cloud has a silver lining it seems. It may not seem much in comparison, but this move by Labour deserves at least a little clap.

That was my first thought. And still a possibility. But even some of the peers are backing it apparently!

We have hope for now. Maybe the pressure will get to them. Lord Ahmed said he was confident that he and his Lord's would support the MP's.

There is no point celebrating, it was designed to never get through. It was not a backbencher amendment to a bill, not an introduction of a new one, which allows the Lords to block it completely with out the commons being able to push it through. Or so I believe, it was obvious it was never going to work because Tony Blair did not even turn up, even though he promised to. That suggests that he is trying to distance himself from a bill he know to be a failure.

I hate those bastards in the lords, just because their great great great great grandfarther was a more bitter murdering bastard than mine, they get power without election.

The sooner they scrap the whole lot of the hereditary peers the better.
