Welcome to RevLeft.
Your form of pacifism doesn't sound like normal pacifism to me. Generally those people are opposed to violence period. <_<

if you can't say you would fight for your right to be a pacifist then your pacafistism (not real word) is obsilete. violence is wrong, but face fact, capitalism will never stay within the book, if we arn't willing to defend our system, then theirs will never take it seriously enough to see it as a threat

My point is that no one here really supports the unnecessary use of force. It's just that most doubt that a peaceful revolution can come about.

Last time I tried, walking up to a boardroom full of CEOs and asking them to disolve their company, along with their competator's companies, and turn the workplaces over to their workers didn't turn out like I thought it would.

Be gentle zero, he's new.
That said, peaceful revolution just isn't happening, unless via slow reform. But then, it's not a revolution at all, just a gradual erosion.

i to don't believe a peacefull revolution will ever happen, i feel the people need to see capitalism attack a political party working within the system. i think it would really open peoples eyes. rather then throwing the first punch and turning the people against a left wing point of veiw, as face it, without the idiots and drones, sociaty would colapse

Interesting idea... The capitalists might realise this and try and be subtle of course, but an interesting idea.

then we should expose all attempts at silencing the peoples voice and rub it in their faces

I see what you're saying but it still isn't exactly pacifist though.

not exactly, but its not a contemporary aproach to the revolution, and pacifist anarchist is the closest definition i could think of,and to be fair, im all for a peacefull revolution, i'm just willing to fight for it

wow, no, absolutely not.
An anarchist who really wants to live an anarchist lifestyle is a pacifist by definition, because if you use violence, you are essentially forcing your opinion onto someone else and you are excercing power.
It's just pragmatism and facing reality that has driven most anarchists away from pacifism.
apathy maybe

Umm... I agree to a limited extent. But defending yourself againstviolence is not pacifistic, but something that I would say falls with in the grounds of anarchism. If someone personally attacks you, you are not forcing your opinion on them if you defend yourself.
And of course this is where different anarchists disagree, how far does personal defence go? The state by definition is oppressing you, so is it self defence to attack it?

Of course!
As the cliche goes,
'The state has a monopoly on the legitimate use of violence' -
the state is the police, baton charges, deaths in custody, the state is warfare, the state is the political head of capitalist society, of the ruling class.
The state is organised, legitimated violence.
Capitalism is legitimated violence of another sort, class oppression is violence, poverty is violence - and of course, imperialism is violence.
Class war is self-defence. Everyday we experience the violence of capitalist society and the state; whether it be wage slavery, poverty, or the police baton, revolution is an act of self-defence, and 'when it's self-defense I don't call it violence, I call it intelligence!'
