Anyway, it figures. I've seen the conditions in NK from an undercover documentary. There are homeless children, and there are even people who resort to caniballism.

The supposed counterfeting has been one of the U.S.'s main excuses for an embargo against DPRK and sanctions against banks/companies who work with them.

I remember reading stories about this years ago. Not a bad idea if you ask me, if they can make really good fakes.

Under the embargo, it would be quite suspicious for the North Korean state to be dealing in US dollars. I don't see how it would help them in their trading at all.

because kim puts on a fake moustache and heads to the nearest wal-mart in the ROK through an unmonitored part in the border... he buys a ton of goods, comes home and distributes them to the masses...

unfortunately he forgets to take off the moustache, so nobody knows he's such a wonderful humanitarian and we carry on assuming he's some tyranical dictator...
