A few months or maybe a year ago I asked here how the Moaist revolution in Nepal was going, someone found a site with information

Well are there any recent news? Have they made any strides, were they crushed, etc.

In National Geographics article on Mt. Everest 2 months ago, they had about a paragraph on it. They said that many of the native people were engaging in it, and that the guard was trying to secede and join.

I am strongly socialist, but I don't think the maoists should be the ones who spread around the world.
I am also a member of the Free Tibet society, though

better the maoists than the capitalists. atleast when the boiling point hits in the industrialised nations, we'll have other nations to ally with.

The only good monarch is a dead one!

I am 100% behind the Maoists. I'm a semi-Maoist myself, and believe that Maoism has some flaws, but some of its points are necessary.

I'm also behind the maoist revolution, I just hope they set up something good enough for the people. We don't need another China.

Isn't the monarchy pushing for peace talks there?
or am I the only one to have heard that... :(

...It's hard to imagine that what they would institute would be any better than what they have. Famines and a purge of all "counter-revolutionary" individuals certainly don't sound like fun.

Well, homes, healthcare, food, education, and well, some time off from work.

At the very least it'll give them a rest. Fuedalism's no fun.

Famines and a purge of all "counter-revolutionary" individuals certainly don't sound like fun.

Well, counter-revolutionary purging aside, I don't think theyre going to pull the famine stunt again.

Lesser of the evils game again, as it usually is.

What i've read seems to be the other way around, though the maoists seem to have a majority of the country.
