Why is the EU involved in this foolish charade?????

This proves that the EU is a no-go area for compromising socialists.

I knew this was coming! FUCK THE EU! There is no reason for us to make any compromises. Imperialism is imperialism, whether stars-and-stripes-imperialism or yellow-stars-on-blue-imperialism. I don't understand how some leftists can still support the EU, the EU is in no way better than the US. Only much weaker, and luckily much more instable. Half of Europe is already under control of the neo-fascists ( Blair, Aznar, Rassmussen, Silvio Berlusconi, Jörg Haider / Schüssel etc. ). The united left in the EU-parliament and the parliament itself is a joke. I can't see anything positive about this new empire. We need another Volksfront!

Sorry if this post is even less constructive than my posts usually are, I have migraine! >:(

Andrey, the US has had a trade embargo against Cuba since well before the sentence of death was imposed on these recent subversists. Why is the EU involved in the terroristic sanctions against Cuba you ask? Simple. They are in America's pocket just like virtually every other country in Europe. Simply stating your "disapproval" for the US and Britain's invasion of Iraq is of no actual consequence short of "distancing yourself" in the event of political backlash.
Once the fall of the B'aath party was foreseen as inevitable how quickly did these nations in question change their political platform to "We hope for a speedy victory" by mamaUS and it's subordinates?

Yes, exactly.

This is not Bushism, being under U.S. control, or fascism for that matter. It is plain old-fashioned "democratic" imperialism.

We shouldn't go in for too much alarmism, though. The EU is not imminently going to impose a full embargo on Cuba or anything.

There's a certain amount of alarmism about Bush going around, too. That he's a fascist, that he's carrying out an unprecedented escalation against Cuba, etc. For the latter, just think about some of the things Kennedy did.

Imperialism is definitely on the offensive, and Cuba is always in their cross-hairs. But its military successes shouldn't blind us to its underlying weakness, or to the strength of the Cuban revolution and its support worldwide.

I hate the EU, it is just one Capitalist megoloth with interests not in individual countries, but in continuing out-dated work ethic and monopolistic money handling

Yes the Cubans may be tough, but every human being has his edge. To be honest I think that the Cuban people has reached the edge.

America has tried many times to defeat the socialist regime of Cuba and has failed just as many. The embargo is a whole other thing. Its built on time and time only.

Cuba is an island and depense on import. The only hope of Cuba is to do international buisness with Africa and South America. Also Cuba should be recontructing there farms, so they will not rely on sugar, as the SU wanted them to. Never forget that Erneste " Che " guevara was busy building up a Cuba that wouldt rely on import anymore, but the SU wanted Sugar, so Castro pointed Che another position.

Cuba needs to rebuilt itself.
