What are the most important theories on revolution - how to bring it into being, and how to do it, and what should be done after or during?
So I dont just mean different ideologies as in Marxism, Leninism, Proudhonism; but also strategy for revolutionizing society, useful no matter whats your ideology.
I want to be more systematical in my revolutionary studies, so I need a list and some comments.

The best recommendation I can give to you is to read Vladimir Lenin's State and Revolution. It's a very good, useful summary and analysis of socialist revolutionary theory, and should be quite helpful to you. You can read this work online at: http://www.marxists.org/archive/lenin/work...terev/index.htm (http://www.marxists.org/archive/lenin/works/1917/staterev/index.htm) :)

Actually, my favorite essays on revolutionary theory are redstar's papers, at www.redstar2000papers.com. Of course, if you are a Leninist, perhaps you will not be so enthused by them as I.
As for a strategy to revolutionize the current society, I think the most we, as revolutionaries, can do is to spread the word, and of course support each and every revolutionary or potentially revolutionary happening in the world. Other than that, do whatever feels right.

Let's not have this thread degenerate into a sectarian insult-fest, anomaly. It was just a recommendation.

I don't think he intended it to be one. All he said was that some people may not like redstar's essays, that's all.

I don't know about a list of resources, but I'm sure just about everyone on these boards has some ideas of how revolutionary society will look and how to bring it about.
As for bringing it about, you can't go wrong with one of the international organisations that are working towards that very goal (come on, someone had to plug them :D). There is a pinned thread in the Learning forum, I think, which has a huge list of all the organisations which you might like to check out. Personally, I'd go with the FPM  but I've heard really good things about the Communist League.

There's a view articles on how post-revolution might look after an 'anarchist' revolution here:
