Hello Comrades. I noticed this site while researching the late Che Guevara for a school paper to try to stir up some conflict, and I thought it would be a great idea to come here to get some oppinions before this school year. I'm going to attempt a few papers and trifolds and maybe an unscheduled speech here or there to try to get some people for an organization.

My views are a bit muddled on things. One thing is very clear though, I hate republicans. I have a few Communist sympathies, simply because I believe that no one has done Communism justice while in office. As far as American democracy goes, I don't like it. Democrats are on many levels better than Republicans, but they still have quite a bit of corruption to deal with.

I am completely new at forums.

By the way, my name is Michael.

Welcome to RevLeft.

You can look for info concerning Che in the Che subforum in History. Just ask if you need anything else.

Question.

I'm deeply thinking of starting a Communist organization within my school, and even getting it sponsored by a teacher as a club. I know that I'll have to give it a front and whatnot, but I don't know much about what our actions should be, and overall, I basically don't know anything about it.

If anyone knows how I should go about this, please let me know.

well there's a learning subforum which is extremely useful.

As for basic easy-to-read literature, you could go the http://www.iaf-ifa.org/ for anarchist communism, http://www.swp.org.uk for trotskism andhttp://www.marxists.org for pretty much all marxist works (though this is mostly harder stuff), read the communist manifesto, or probably the best and easiest way to start out is by simply following this link to a great article by one of our members;
What is Communism? (http://www.revolutionaryleft.com/index.php?showtopic=46927&st=0)

as for what to do with that group
well maybe you could make a little newspaper every once in a while, and/or pamphlets, or simply make it a study group to get to know more about communism

Depending on your school, I doubt they'll allow a communist club. If you want a teacher to support it you'll probably have to allow a greater spectrum of leftists.

Use the user-friendly label of Socialist Club or Marxist Club instead of Communist Club, it will scare off less people in your school increasing your chances for the school to support your project. Because sadly, some schools have prejudice against anything with the name "communist"
