After riots inside the national assembly building caused by deputies of the oposition that tried to sabotage the passing of the "Mordaza" law that inhibits the private media from showing right wing propaganda.
What the deputies did is totaly outside normal political debate and most of all very desrespectfull to the asembly.
So as a way to counter attack the president of the national assembly (Menber of the Chavez goverment party MVR) decided to take the debate to the open especificly to EL CALVARIO.
This action would translate to something like relocating congress to the Bronx.
4 key factors came into play in this decision.
First the zone is part of the so called "zona roja" were there is no rich class only poor people with a though life.
This danger zone ias part of the Chavez zone meaning the mayority suports the president.
The pro goverment deputies were in a large part familiar with these "poor" areas and would feel comfortable.
And finally the oposition deputies being of the high society people would be scared shitless and wouldn't go to the secion and much less start a riot or try to sabotage the secion like in previous times.
The end result was that the anti-CIA propaganda law the now famous "MORDAZA" is practicly aproved and the oposition gains even more recognition as lassy cowards.
On the other hand pro goverment deputies are now known as gangsta:biggrin:
