Are American People To Blame?

Are American people to blame for the evils of NWO (imperalism, war etc..)? They pay taxes. However, other nations pay taxes too. These nations follow the USA. So are the citizens of those nations in on it ? How can a person not pay taxes? Do USA leftists on this forum pay taxes?

No. Working people can't be blamed for the crimes of the ruling classes. It's not their falt they have to pay taxes.

The American people are too blame, but not because they pay taxes. People pay taxes for the most part to retain their possessions and stay out of prison. However they are responsible for their government. The American people in my opinion are the worst group of people in the world, they are lazy, incompetent, apathetic, easily swayed, and grossly gluttonous, mere sheep, or to use a more modern metaphor, walking wallets and demographics.

I am not proud to be an American.

They are in the sense that they back it up but generally can do nothing about it due to the bureaucracy,etc. though many do protest and act.

A lot of that apathy has to do with the gov. You don't think that countless scandals and cases of corruption will have no effect?

I think in some sense we are to blame, but that our responsibility is limited. First of all, the American system of elections is very hard for people to influence, and the government does what it wants regardless of popular opinion in many cases (stem cells, Iraq, Vietnam, health care, any imperialist war, etc). Secondly, a constant barrage of propaganda and misinformation is directed toward the people in the form of mainstream "news". I don't think people can be responsible for things they are ignorant of, unless they willingly shut their eyes.
