I'm kind of trying to start an Independent Socialist Party in the UK. By independent I mean:

A. Independent of the social democratic and pro-imperialist labour party.
B. commited to an Independent British form of socialism.

By the way, is Hector Marroquin on this forum?

pretty sure you could just join one already committed to that, but hell, do what you want. Welcome! Hope you enjoy your stay

commited to an Independent British form of socialism.
But the ISP is anti-communist though?

Read again, he said he wanted to create his own independent socialist party.

I'm not sure whether he was referring to the actual group itself or simply using independent for naming purposes.

The ISP (UK) is now defunct so it seemed to me that he wanted to start it up again or something.

No, I wanted to start my own party, and checked both gooogle and broadleft for various names, and ISP was free. I didn't know any other kind of ISP existed in the UK before. Hopefully the website will be up any time soon so you can all judge my ideas for yourselves!
