Castro's mother never forgave her son, eh? When he gave that land to peasants after he won political power?

Castro's mother was a household servant and his father died before the Granma landing. Castro's mother was probably happy when the land reforms began.

I saw a documentary on PBS-- where they say this--- that his mother never forgave him and then they show film footage of his mother driving a jeep through Las Manacas cane fields looking very pissed. And they interview her. Remember Castro was sent to the university to defend his family's interest not to make revolution. I guess this is common to revolutionaries---- they must put the public good above their families' wishes.

She wasn't a servant at that time. Shit, Castro was a grown man--- 32 years old! Do you think his mother was a servant from the time Fidel was conceived until he came to power?

That's actually quite common especially in a plantation.

I may be mistaken, but I believe Castro's sister became the right-wing nut who was the darling of Miami's anti-Castro Cuban exiles for a few years.

Yes but she didn't support the exile rallies against Fidel.
