I've become obsessed with psychological films.
I remember watching the last 30 minutes of Donnie Darko on T.V and I was impressed.
So does anyone have any recomendations of good psychological thrillers?

I remember when a friend gave Donnie Darko to me, I was really obsessed by it. What a great film!
Methinks 'Insomnia' with Al Pacino, Robin Williams and Sandra Bullock is very good.
'In the Cut' with Meg Ryan isn't bad.
'Eyes Wide Shut' with Tom Cruise and Nicole Kidman wasn't bad. Overall a minor work by Stanley Kubrick.
I quite like psychological thrillers. Blows my mind.

SNAKES ON A PLANE!
 It's a great look into Samuel Jackson's profanity but not much of a psychological film.

Disagreed, Janus.
The question the movie asks: what happens when there are snakes on a plane?
Answer: Samuel L. Jackson fucks them up.

And cusses a lot.
Any movie can be psychological if looked at from a Freudian POV.

21 grams
Bringing Out the Dead
Fight Club
Mulholland Dr.
Jacob's Ladder
Pi
Oldboy
The Game
Memento
Swimming Pool
These are true examples of Psychological thrillers and great ones at that, a lot of people confuse the broad genre of 'thriller' with 'psychological thriller'.
Donnie Darko is an indie classic as well as being a psychological thriller and all the above listed movies are great movies.

I like Enigma's list with the exception of "The Game". That movie just didn't do it for me. It never pulled me in. I had also heard a bit of hype about it from people before I saw it so maybe I expected too much. But then Fight Club jad a fair amount of hype surrounding it too and I thought that was a great movie.

The Machinist is a really excellent one, much like fight club in ways. I would also reccomend, and someone else did too, Jacob's Ladder.
I do not know if you're much into video games but the series Silent Hill is worth a play if you're looking for psycological thrillers.

Flightplan is really good. Kind of dark.
Gattaca - not sure. I just watched it last night and am not certain if it fits the genre. Nevertheless, a simple but okay movie.
EDIT: Vertigo - amazing. Old movie but outstanding plot.

Thanks for the replies comrades. I have Fight Club and the Stanley Kubrick DVD box set. Great movies.
I also recommend A Clockwork Orange for those who haven't seen it. It's a beauty although disturbing.

I have heard that Pi is one of the best movies so I'll probably buy it.
Gattaca is more of a Sci-fi. It's a great movie though.Inspiring.

Pi, is a really weird movie.
The best in the list is probably Memento, IMO. According to IMDb: -
Memento - 8.6/10 (121,386 votes)
Old Boy - 8.3/10 (25,981 votes)
21 grams - 7.9/10 (34,235 votes)
Mulholland Dr. - 7.9/10 (49,514 votes)
The Machinist - 7.7/10 (18,332 votes)
The Game - 7.6/10 (35,504 votes)
Pi - 7.5/10 (25,854 votes)
Jacobs Ladder - 7.3/10 (12,063 votes)
Swimming Pool - 6.8/10 (9,914 votes) - unfair
Bringing Out The Dead - 6.6/10 (17,498 votes) - Very unfair score

Session 9- A ghostly horror movie, without ghost.
Ichi the Killer- The characters in this movie are messed up in a way only a Japanese director could convey.

Wait, I just remembered..... Lord of the Flies!
Which version? the 1960's or the more modern one?
The origional was much better and the book was better than that.
