You what?!

The origional is one of the classic 'indie' movies, not to mention one of the most hilarious films ever. Its Kevin Smith's first movie as a director and the origion of Jay and Silent Bob.

dude, the title is fucking awesome. its named after a sector of the contemporary service proletariat. what, would you prefer a movie called Machinists or Longshoremen? cuz in the modern manifestation of capitalism in the West and most especially within the US Empire, it is the service sector, the janitors, the truckers, and, yes, the clerks who make up the advanced urban service-industrial proletariat that will vanguard us to revolution!!! </marxist dogma>

... um, what did i just say?

well, i did like the first one, and i like rosario dawson (a pretty Latina that no one even knows is Latina), but ill probably wait until it is in front of me on a friends vcr in a few years

Hillarious- best comedy I've seen in a while.

I loved Randals critique of Lord of the Rings.

My buddy and I rented Clerks and Dogma last night in preparation to watch Clerks 2 today. Unfortunately we didn't get to the theatres so we'll probably be going tomorrow.

So I saw it today and I must say it kicked quite a lot of ass. I was a tad disappointed because I was expecting more of Jay (best character ever) but it was still excellent.

I still hate Dante though.

I saw it, and I laughed. Loudly. Not everyone in the theater was. Your taste may vary.

It was not nearly as funny as the original Clerks, but how often is a sequel as good as the original?

Here's a quote from Kevin Smith's website. "Jay and silent Bob might return one day. For now, they're taking it easy."

I know people like Elias - he was a very true-to-life character, really.

I thought some of the bits with him were hilarious; the expression on Randall's face as he was hearing about the "pussy troll"....

I haven't seen the movie yet but I know it's got to be great. The first film was amazing. I've never seen such a good low budget film. The dialogue was amazing.

spoke to my dad for the first time in a year the other day, he told me to go and see "clerks, the original, not the shitty new one"...

I'd never heard of either

Heh. I just noticed I earlier said the sequel was nearly as funny as the original.

That was a typo! (now edited). It's not nearly as funny as the original, which was one of the funniest movies ever. But it's still good - to me, anyway.
