So now 'Palestine' is made up of the West Bank and the Gaza strip.

How is the West bank and gaza going to function as one state?

How does this work? How does a country function if it is not one land but instead has an enemy in the center. How do they get resources from one side to the other and what exactly is the Gaza strip it looks like a concentration camp.

How can such a small piece of land disconnected from the West Bank be in anyway productive or helpful to all the people or the economy?

And both of these are blockaded with walls...I mean did the Jews, who make up most of Israel, not realise the greif that their ancestors had to go through in the concentration camps and ghettos like Warsaw, are they so selfish as to only care about their own existence that they put an ethnicity in a strip of land and a baron desert..

How do the Palestinians 'recognise Israel' if Israel doesn't recognise the Palestinians?

I mean, of course people who are cut out of the world by a huge cement wall are going to want to get back at the state which committed such abuse...

All of it sounds so..silly on Israels behalf, it's messed up how they get away with so much bullshit.

I may as well answer it to the best of my ability seems on one else will.

That anarchist woman from Israel could have answered this one pretty well - she was restricted unrightfully IMO.

Please remember - I am just guessing the answers to this - cause I dont actually know too much about it

How is the West bank and gaza going to function as one state?

It wont - thats the point.

I mean - just look at the elections recently with Hamas being placed in power democratically by the people. It was fair.

Yet Israel, from the start - almost to prove a point - wanted to show that the Palestinians could not run on a democratic basis by not recognising its new representitive government. They want to show that Palestine cannot function without some sort of imperialist occupation.

Its like what the imperialists want to do with all other nations - "its my way, or the highway".

They did it with Iraq - almost suggesting the country "needs" outside interference in order to function correctly and have democracy.

Why not just let the people solve their own problems? why fucking interfere.

The imperialists want to see things fail if its not going their way. Cuba for example - they want to see it fail and than provide their own alternative.

Who drew the borders of Israel -Palestine? It sure wasnt Palestine.

How does this work? How does a country function if it is not one land but instead has an enemy in the center. How do they get resources from one side to the other and what exactly is the Gaza strip it looks like a concentration camp.

It is indeed. Theres a joke "where is the largest prison population in the world?"....."The gaza strip"

As far as I know - you are from an arab background yourself. It is the common theory amngst the mid east that they actually want conflict to continue in the area to support arms deals etc. They dont want peace. How better to cause conflict than to create the borders they have created? dividing a people in two.

How do they get resources from one point to another?

I dont actually know. I doubt Israel let Palestinian freight through their teritorry.

So maybe via Egypt, into Jordan and into Palestine through the back door?

Maybe there isnt any freight between gaza and the west bank? maybe all they get is foreign aid? I dont actually know.

How can such a small piece of land disconnected from the West Bank be in anyway productive or helpful to all the people or the economy?

Im not sure (once agian) - but wouldnt Palestine have a central bank of some sort? in which revenue created in both sectors and "pooled" together as state resources?

It might not be productive at all. As I said - alot of what Palestine gets is aid.

Id agree with that.

But remember that its not the Israeli peoples fault, and that the Israeli media is heavily slanted towards the Israeli states position (on anything). So the opinions of the ordinary Israeli have been influenced and shaped with falsity and towards defending their own attrocities.

How do the Palestinians 'recognise Israel' if Israel doesn't recognise the Palestinians?

They dont - hence perpetual conflict. Big bucks in that.

There were some good posts by that woman anarchist in the politics forum on this. I think her name was, actually I dont know what her name was.

She posted her theory as to the conflict and added some nice graphics too. Have a search for it.
