View Full Version : Quickest Route To Communism

I don't know if this should be in this forum or in Learning, because i don't know how indepth this discussion will be, but I have a question.

Which would be the quickest way to achieve communism, or at least apeed of the process of achieving a revolution? Would it be for things to get progressively worse until the working class gets tired of it, or would it be for the situation to get progressively better by having stronger unions and more laws against exploitation of workers or things like that.

This is probably a stupid question, but i think what i am trying to ask is, would it be better for the working class, in the long run, for republicans and conservatives and other reactionaries to take power now, so workers will lose more rights and the majority of the population will get angry enough to revolt?

There is a fast way to do things for everything, but as you know most often they fall apart quickly (or, in this situation, fail in the Civil War) so anarchism may be the fastest way to 'make communism' but it doesn't make it the right or only way.

I don't think there is a "quick route." It will happen when it happens. The best we can do is agitate, organize and spread our message.

IMO, if you wanted to speed up the transformation of society - the best bet is to somehow advance and implement technology.

To do that - sieze state power and centralise everything (just like the USSR)

then, - pump funds into research
- Implement immediatly those advances to production
-take risks with the technology - try automate vehicles etc. etc.
- develop resources at any cost - solar, wind, tidal, nuclear.
-use the environment to the fullest for resources
- develop renewable systems as much as possible (metal recycling from households etc etc.

Basically - it would mean being very progressive.

But - that wouldnt lead to actual socialism, no doubt the bourgeois would emerge.

Infact, capitalism continues to advance these things as it is.

No. communism (or socialism, take your fancy) will not come about from revolt alone.

Socialism is a higher mode of production, reducing workers rights would cause a stir#, maybe even a popular movement would emerge - but it wouldnt achieve higher systems of production.

The proletarian class should continue to fight against their existing conditions, fight for more rights!.

This would continue the bourgeois task of eliminating manual labour (sowing its own death)

It is when the capitalist system can no longer cope with such proletarian advances (the majority) will it then cease to be an effective system. It will then be regressive, rather than a progressive force for humanity.

Revolt will come naturally through the capitalist systems inability to accept the more advanced methods of production - automation.

On the other hand - it might just be that communism can be achieved a variety of ways, just like capitalism.

I hope that answers your question somewhat. :)

I agree. I suppose that this is kind of a "turn-off" to some but we can't predict the future nor force out beliefs on others.

The quickest way would be for things to get hellishly bad, until there's no choice but for the mass proletariate to support the revolutionary process, spontaneous revolution if you will. However this will only happen if either the bourgeois burn their fuel (the proletarians) into non-existance, or there the Nazis/facsists gain power.
