So, I went to three independant bookstores in the area as well as the University bookstore, all of them were out.

BUUUUuttt all of them said something to the degree of, "I just saw it yesterday," or "I was sure we had it."

So, this could be a good thing or a bad thing...

I work at one, so that wouldn't be too difficult. But alas, I write in my books... so that isn't an option :P

Thanks!

This, however, brings me to my next question. Who am I supporting, financially, when I buy Marx's books? The Penguin company (Aren't they the one's that publish the classics?)?

Does it matter? It's not like you're going to bring down capitalism by not buying from certian publishers. But in answer to your question: The owner of the book shop and the publisher, if you buy it from a charity shop then you are just giving money to the charity but bear in mind it has to have been paid for at one time or another.

Oh good grief.

Who do you support, financially, when you work for a library? When you eat bread and butter? When you turn your lights on?

We live in a capitalist system; the bourgeoisie has the monopoly of the means of production. If you want to buy commodities, you have to buy them from a capitalist. If you don't like that, you need to help us overthrow the capitalist system. If you want to overthrow the capitalist system, you should read The Capital.

And if there is a capitalist eager to sell you the rope with which you will hang him, buy it.

omfg... it was a QUESTION. I didn't ask to hear your opinion on me asking the question, I asked the question to get an answer. I was just wondering, it's not going to affect my purchase in any way.

You should probably read my post, I tell you who gets the money. If you want to know why it's because marx has been dead for over 50 years and anyone can reprint his books and they get all the money from selling it without having to give to any "marx estate" (as far as I'm aware.).

Sorry for the confusion, it wasn't really directed toward you.
