The other day I was talking with a friend who has a friend who has a relative in the CIA and is in Afghanistan as I type. My friend's friend spoke with CIA agents mother the night before and as they casually spoke he told her that "we know exactly where Bin Laden is, we've known for quite some time. We have been keeping track of his business and where he goes. He doesnt know that we are tracking him, we let him move about freely." I am sure his mother asked some questions like why havn't you gotten him? or something like that because he continued on to say "We are waiting for the right time...?" Thats all that was really spoken.
Now my friend recieved this information from his/her friend while just having a casual conversation.
I think its already pretty well known that the CIA has known where Bin Laden is, maybe even working with him but what struck me was when he said they are waiting. What are they waiting for? My first thought was another attack so they could invade some other country. Maybe BL has been doing business with countriel like Iran or Syria or any other place of interest for them. Then once another attack hit, they could so "Oh Syria helped or Iran, we need to invade!" Kinda like 9-11 and Iraq.
Do you guys think this a possibility or am I jumping to conclusions?
Sources are reliable and identities have been kept out just in case I foil the CIA's plans and they hunt me down. :P

Sources are reliable
While I believe that the CIA may know where bin Laden is, I have trouble believing that someone who is in the know is going to give the secret out to impress someone's mom, unless she looks like Stiffler's.
If it were true, then I'd say you should get some verifiable evidence and break the story. It would seriously disillusion the entire country and be a good step toward revolution.
But how do you know that sources are reliable? A friend's friend's relative? It seems unlikely that you'd be able to verify reliability over that sort of range.

My friend has a friend, lets name it Jim.
Now Jim's close relative is in the CIA. Lets call him Bill.
Recently Bill talked with his mother.
Bill's mom told Jim what they talked about.
The next day Jim told my "friend" what they talked about randomly, just out of the blue.
I know it may seem far fetched but the sources are VERY reliable.

I would love to but that evidence would be hard to come by. Plus, I told this to some of my pro-american acquaintances and they just said it was so they could know of the attacks and stop them. I said wouldn't it be better to just end it all and kill him and they replied that there may be others that BL shares his plans with or some shit like that. Although their argument is bs it would work well for the media and war junkies that fill up this country...such trash

Whilst I cannot say whether your story is true, I will say that are reasons for the USA to deliberately refrain from capturing Bin Laden when the chance to presents itself.
There appear no great benefits to the US if he is captured. For one thing it would mean the US government would have to try him for 9/11 and I have seen no evidence produced that he had anything to do with that attrocity.
There are some benefits from Bin Laden remaining at large. 1 The US keeps a current of fear among its citizens that in some far off land he is plotting terrorist attacks on US soil. 2 The misconception that Al Qaeda has a worldwide command structure with him at the top pulling the strings remains a widely held belief among the US public. I think he is thought of by many people as a kind of perverse Bond villain.
3 He remains a face to put to the enemy and another reason for US troops to remain in Afganistan.
One would think that a man that is supposed to have carried out the worst terrorist attack ever (forgetting state terrorism for a moment) would be top of the list of priorities. Had he been hiding in the Iraqi oil ministry, they would have found him 3 years ago, given the rush to secure that building in the great war on terror.

you should read the book jawbreaker by Gary Berntsen he was the CIA chief in afghanistan when the war broke out.
he tells in detail how he was obstructed by bureaucrats that ultimately obstructed him from deploying rangers to block bin ladens escape route into pakistan from tora bora.
he believes that bin laden currently resides among the pashtun (i think it where the pashtun) in pakistan close to the border with afghanistan.
these pashtun have extremely close ties with the taliban in afghanistan and bin laden and consider it an religious duty to keep bin laden safe from anyone that might harm him.
