I find it amazing, (and amuzing) that it isnt just when youre in government you totalitarians, (communists vs. nazis) collect info on each other. You do it in peace time as well!! There are actually Nazi and Red websites in which photos taken from all angles plus names, adresses and hangout details are collected on active members of the opposing ideology!!! And the detail!!! Its like going through the files of a spy organsation!!! And half of the photos taken by nazis of commies have the commies snapping pictures back at them!!!
So why do you do it? Just seems a little extreme to a clueless capitlaist like me...
And who started it, the commies or nazis?
And I was wondering, Have any of you more active revolutionaries ever been snapped by a nazi? Or have you ever photoed a Nazi in retaliation? What was their reaction?

All nations spy on each other, not just Nazis and Communists, ever hear of the CIA? Espionage is as old as civilization.

Both sides would blame the other.

Probably.
What was their reaction?
There are a lot of people who take pics at marches and demonstrations so unless someone wore a hammer and sickle t-shirt and took a pic, it'll be difficult to identify them.
What does this have to do with the actual KGB and Gestapo?

you totalitarians
I'm a totalitarian? Gee, thanks for shoving the words into my mouth...

Hard to say, the conflict between fascists and communists stretching all the way back to 1918, probably the Spartacists fighting in the streets of Berlin against the Freikorps (Who later supported the Nazis rise to power) and the murder of Rosa Luxemburg and Karl Liebknecht.
The German Communist Party started the Anti-fascist brigades in responce to the Nazi SA, which also resulted in more street fights. After the second world war, alot of the surviving German communists were executed by Stalin, and the anti-fascists were suppressed till the Berlin Wall came toppling down.
So, since then, its been pretty much open rivarly between the anti-fascist brigades in Europe and the Neo-Nazi scumbags.
Someone probably has a better knowledge of this history than I do.

I've never had any real confrontations with Nazis, but I have been photographed (and tailed home) by the police.

It doesnt. But since skinheads take happy snaps of you, they are the Gestapo and since some of you reciprocate you can be the kgb for purposes of discussion.
Hey Zingu, thats amazing a cop would tale you and take photos. Maybe he thought you were a famous celebrity and he was a papparazzi off duty? --- Or more likely he was a skinhead himself? Anyway its bizarre cops dont usually do that in the free republics.

I help unionize and organize Mexican workers in Southern California. Its nothing special, happens to alot of activists.
Anyway its bizarre cops dont usually do that in the free republics.

Good work detecting sarcasm. I thought the hug thing would have made it obvious but I guess you can't judge peoples intelligence very easily.

Well I was at a anti-war protest in Portland and got photographed by a guy wearing a 14/88 shirt. Suprisingly enough he got his ass handed to him by other marchers and his camera was smashed to bits.

Not really. Taking a few pics is much different than running an actual police/spy gig.
*Wonders why he is debating with a banned member*
