Start here.

It gives some info and other links to agent orange related sites.
Agent orange is dioxyn based. One of the deadliest substances there is. A few ounces is generally enough to contaminate an entire cities water supply which would give you some idea of it's potency. Agent orange is still in the ground water and soil in Vietnam, where it continues to cause premature child deaths and horrific birth defects.
Approximately 55,000 U$ soldiers were killed in Vietnam and estimates of 1.5-2 million Vietnamese killed. There are lots of sites and books on all of this.
Good Luck.

There are lots of sites and books on all of this.Point of clarification: Keep in mind that alot of these Vietnamese were killed at the hands of the French before they left the scene. I think that mainstream historians use these figures as a way to deceive people into thinking "Gee, if we killed so many and lost so few, I guess we could have won the war." The logical extension of this is that it's the fault of the anti-war movement that Vietnam eventually became communist. (Most people tend to forget that Diem, the U$'s man in the South was a fascist military dictator hell-bent on upending the legitimately elected communist government in the North.)
Agent Orange was said to be a defoliant used primarily to kill the brush that the VC hid in. It turned out to be the grossest example of chemical warfare the world has ever seen.
